Over Labor Day weekend, located in the heart of friendly Monterey, Indiana, is the Monterey Days Festival, an annual event that got its start in 1997. This family-friendly long weekend features nearly non-stop live entertainment, plenty of delicious food, and a myriad of quirky games, contests, and demonstrations. Try your hand at the Hillybilly Cart Run, compete in the Kiss-the-Pig Contest, or get soaked watching the Firemen’s Waterball Challenge! Children are welcome to battle their peers in the pedal-tractor pull or the turtle and frog races. Gather back together as a family to vie in the potato sack races or relax and watch the parade floats glide by. There is something for everyone at Monterey Days!
