This project is under development.
Pulaski County, starting with preliminary work in late 2014, putting the nose to the grindstone through 2015, and wrapping up the project in early 2016, was a first-round participant in Indiana’s new Hometown Collaboration Initiative (HCI). Pending State approval of the final plan, the Pulaski County CDC will, working with the HCI committee, begin implementing the two-part project: a tourism plan and the development of an on-road Pulaski County Bike Route Network (also known as “Cranes, Trains, and Pedalmobiles”). The CDC will work with the Pulaski County Highway Department, traffic counters from the Kankakee-Iroquois Regional Planning Commission, and other partners to determine the best routes across paved Pulaski County Roads to connect towns, destinations, and the Panhandle Pathway and U.S. Bike Route 35 through numerous numbered, signed routes, including the already extant Pulaski County Bike Route 1.
